Grief Awareness & Education Conference: Meaning Making at Work

Sweta Vikram will be speaking at the 2026 Grief Awareness & Education Conference, Meaning Making at Work, happening online September 24 & 25.

This year's conference is bringing together professionals across grief and bereavement, leadership, workplace culture, mental health, resilience, and organizational support to explore a question we don't talk about nearly enough:

What changes when we recognize that grief is already in the workplace?

She'll be presenting Leading Through Invisible Loss: Practical Tools for Supporting Teams Through Change, where she'll explore how during organizational transitions, employees may be carrying invisible forms of grief that quietly reduce trust, creativity, engagement, and decision-making. Yet most managers have never been taught how to recognize or respond to these experiences.

In this interactive workshop, participants will learn a practical framework for identifying hidden loss in the workplace, communicating with greater empathy while maintaining accountability, and helping teams move from disruption toward resilience. Drawing from grief science, leadership research, and holistic wellbeing practices, attendees will leave with simple conversation tools, a team check-in framework, and actionable strategies they can begin using immediately—whether they're leading through restructuring, burnout, organizational change, or personal loss.

Perfect for: If you work in HR, leadership, healthcare, education, employee wellbeing, bereavement support, or simply find yourself responsible for supporting people through loss and change
